HOW TO USE OUR SERVICE

Can I change cars?
Yes, but you must inform us in advance to carry out the upgrade process. Likewise, the car will only be changed if there is a mechanical failure that jeopardizes your trip or if you wish to change the car for a higher range car.
Can I deliver the car somewhere other than the airport?
Yes, but you must inform us in advance to make the necessary arrangements. As soon as possible and up to 24 hours maximum, you validate this information, and we will update the pickup site. You can contact us by WhatsApp to review your request. Please note that this change does not affect the payment of your service unless the return address is more than 5 miles away from the quoted airport.
Can I deliver the vehicle before of after de agreed time?
If you are unable to return the car at the agreed delivery time, the first thing you should do is to inform us at least 24 hours in advance to update your service.
Can I drive out of Florida?
No, the rental service only covers Florida. You can move wherever you want, but within the state; this in order not to cross borders and have to charge additional charges for insurance and tolls that are not covered by the company.

We are evaluating with the insurance service to extend this possibility, but it is not yet a fact. We will inform you about these updates through our social networks to let you know more and more about our service.

Can I extend or shorten the rental days?
If you need an extension or reduction of the rental before picking up the car, you can contact our Customer Service team up to 72 hours before the start of your rental and if possible, we will coordinate the extension or reduction of the reservation for you at no additional cost, we only adjust the cost for the period of time.

If you make the modification within a period of less than 72 hours, we must charge you USD 35 extra for the sudden change. Remember that if you do not notify us in time you may be taking away the opportunity for another user to rent the car, that is why we ask you to do it more than 72 hours in advance.

If you wish to extend the reservation after you have picked up the car, you will need to contact us and follow their procedures. We can only create another reservation for you, but this means that you will have to return to the car rental facility to renew the rental contract and pick up a new car.

Should I give them my flight number?
The flight number is helpful in tracking your arrival time, especially since someone from the airline will meet you at the airport when you arrive. Without the flight number, we may not know or be able to verify your exact arrival time or know that your flight has been delayed, but you are not required to provide this information.
What happens if I recieve a fine?
These are charges that will be debited from your payment method at the end of the rental. This type of charges are not part of the service proposal initially delivered, and the driver will be the only responsible. Sometimes it takes up to 3 months after the incident for the fines to arrive, so you will be notified to make the corresponding discharge.
What happens if my flight is delayed or canceled?
If your flight has been delayed, it is your responsibility to contact us and inform us of the delay or cancellation. Please note that if you do not arrive on time or do not inform us about the delay, the reservation will be automatically canceled and will be considered as a no-show, in which case the reservation fee will be debited.

If, on the other hand, the flight was canceled, the first thing you should do is to contact our Customer Service team. Inform us about the cancellation before the original pick-up time, and we will do our best to change the day and time of delivery of the car. Please note that you will still have to pay for the first day, as the car was reserved for you. We can also try to find a different car for you.
In case of a delayed or canceled flight, we recommend that you contact your airline to verify the compensation procedure in the country where you are traveling.

Please note that flight delays and cancellations are beyond our control, and Flo is not responsible for any problems or additional costs incurred due to airlines.

What is the different between the consumer sunpass and the unlimited sunpass?
The consumption sunpass is an initial charge of 10 USD that we make to your payment method for the use of the chip. At the end of the service we will charge your payment method, the final consumption made during your service. This information is verified directly with our SUNPASS provider.

The Unlimited Sunpass is a daily payment of $13.00 that can be used for as many tolls as you wish. This would have no extra cost and would be included in the initial quote. Many people buy the consumption Sunpass because they think they will not spend too much on tolls and have it under control, however, this depends on the route you wish to take.

What is the fuel policy?
There are two things to keep in mind.

The first is that our fuel policy is to return the car as it was delivered to you, that is to say that we deliver the car completely full of fuel and you must return it in the same condition. If you run out of gas, you will be charged extra.

The second is that you should not change the type of fuel in the car you rent since you may cause damage to the car and this will be charged directly to your payment method for misuse of the service.

What is the mileage policy?
The mileage policy is always listed in the description of each car. For cars with sedans or station wagons our policy is unlimited mileage, but for high-end cars like Nissan GTR, Ferrari and Dodge Challenger we restrict mileage per day or per rental period. You will see if the mileage is limited or unlimited according to the rental conditions of each car. Payment for any additional mileage must be made when you drop off the car.
What is the minimun and maximum rental period?
With Flo Car Rental, the minimum number of days you can rent is 2 and the maximum is 31. If you wish to rent more days, we must renew the contract.

COVERAGE, INSURANCE AND PROTECTION

What is the deductible?
The deductible is the maximum amount of money you are obligated to pay in case the rental car is damaged or stolen, as long as the terms of the rental agreement are met.
What is the difference between the insurances you offer?
Premium insurance has:

Driver requirements

How much experience should I have with my driver’s license?

In most cases your driver’s license must be valid for at least one year prior to the start of your rental period, but some suppliers require more driving experience. With Flo we only require that you have a valid license and that you are over 25 years old.

What age is allowed to rent a car?

What documents do I need to pick up the car?
It is important that the main driver is present at the time of delivery of the vehicle, since he/she is the one who will legally be in charge of the car. To complete the rental process and you can go to Miami, we need you to present your ID and original driver’s license, so we can proceed with the rest of the documentation.
What does the additional driver need?
An additional driver must have a valid license that meets the same requirements as the primary driver. All rules that apply to the primary driver also apply to an additional driver.

An additional driver must be with the main driver when picking up the car to sign the rental contract. The inclusion of an additional driver is considered an extra and is included at the time of payment of the service.

What type of license do I need?
The most important thing is that you have a valid driver’s license; in several countries they may require an international driver’s license but in the United States it is not necessary, so the document that you have issued in your country is enough. Remember that we need to see the license when we deliver the car to you, we do not accept copies or scans, it is necessary to present the original.

Confirmation and payments

Do I have to pay in advance?
Yes, for the car to be definitely reserved, you must pay the full amount of your quote either directly on the website or through the payment link that we generate to your email.

To cancel your reservation, you can contact us directly by WhatsApp or in our corporate email servicioalcliente@flocarrental.com If the reason for the cancellation is a change of flight or other plans, we can offer you the possibility to modify the dates and times of the reservation.

How should I pay?
To pay for your service you must take into account 3 moments:

  1. Reservation: Your payment method will be charged for the total amount of the reservation.
  2. Delivery of the car: When we receive the vehicle again and check its condition, we will make the final charges corresponding to your payment method and we will send you an invoice for the service in case there are any additional charges such as fuel, sunpass for consumption or any damage done to the car.
In what currency do I pay for the service?
At the car pick up, you will have to pay in the local currency of the country where the car rental office is located, which in our case is in dollars. If you pay with a credit card denominated in a currency other than that of the country where you pick up the car, you may be subject to currency conversion fees from the bank.
What are the extra charges?
These are charges that are not contemplated in the initial contract such as speeding tickets, smoking tickets, damage to the vehicle, extra miles and others that depend on the correct use of the car. We give you the base and actual rate for the service you request, however if you violate Federal laws or deliver the vehicle in a state that was not the initial one, we must charge those charges to your method of payment. Therefore, we ask that you carefully read the terms and conditions of service.
What payment methods does Flo Car Rental accept?
To make the transaction you must have a valid credit card, in the name of the main driver and with sufficient funds to make the corresponding charges. At Flo we accept American Express, Apple Pay, Dinners, Discover, Gpay, JCB; Master Card, Visa.
